Level 1 Jointer/Electrician

Giant Electrical Pty Ltd is the Hunter’s most dynamic, reliable and professional Level 1 & 2 ASP Contractor.

We are seeking an energetic, reliable and well presented, Level 1 Technician  to join our growing customer focused team.

The successful candidate will possess:

• NSW Electrical Supervisors OR Contractors licence (Electrician only).
• A strong understanding of Ausgrid Supply Authority Network Standards & Rules.
• Currently actively working in the Level 1 industry.
• Level 1 Authorised Polymeric Cable Jointer as a minimum with a preference for paperlead experience and accreditation.
• Minimum two years experience working within Ausgrid network, Level 1 contestable projects.
• MR Heavy Vehicle licence.

Preference for multi trade individual;

• Jointer/ Electrician  OR
• Jointer/ Linesman  OR
• Jointer/ Electrician/ Linesman

• The duties for the successful applicant will include:
• Supervising and working on Level 1 contestable projects.
• Installation, termination and commissioning of Kiosk sub stations,
• Pole top substations, street lighting projects & URD’s

Level 2 Electrical Technician

Giant Electrical Pty Ltd is the Hunter’s most dynamic, reliable and professional Level 1 & 2 ASP Contractor.
We are seeking an energetic, reliable and well presented, Level 2 Electrical Technician to join our small but growing customer focused team.

The successful candidate will possess:

• NSW Electrical Supervisors OR Contractors licence.
• A strong understanding of AS/NZS3000, NSW Service Installation Rules.
• A strong understanding of Ausgrid Supply Authority Network Standards & Rules.
• Currently actively working in the industry.
• Level 2, Categories 1, 2 and 4 accreditation as a minimum with a preference for Cat 3.
• Minimum two years experience conducting and supervising Level 2 authorised work.
• An EWP ticket to 11m (Cat 3 only) & MR Licence Preferred.

APPLICANTS WITHOUT THESE QUALIFICATIONS NEED NOT APPLY FOR THIS POSITION. 

The duties for this full time technical role will include:

• Metering installs on new and existing electrical installations.
• Disconnect reconnect of POAs and Pillars for upgrade, alteration or additions.
• Underground power supply installs to new and existing electrical installations.
• Power alterations and upgrades to new and existing electrical installations.
• Installation of Overhead power supplies (Cat 3 only)
• Supervision and assistance with civil works.
• Installation of Poles and Temp Supplies.
• Assisting on Level 1 projects.

Remuneration will commensurate with experience.
